I was raised in Southern California and in the Four Corners area of southereastern Utah. After high school I joinded the military and began my training in the foodservice industry. I quickly realized I had a talent for baking and ended up with my own bakeshop on two U.S. Navy ships.
After my service to our country, I decided to further my education at The Culinary Istitute of America in New York. There I worked under many great master chefs and received my degree in Baking and Pastry Arts. I also had a wonderful opportunity to work on the PBS show "Great Master Chefs of America."
After Graduation, my wife and I decided that my wife's hometown of Hattiesburg,MS, needed a bakery, and so we brought our family back to the south with that goal in mind. The Pastry Garden will be entering its 10th year in business soon, and I am very thankful and humbled by the support of the Pine Belt for letting us cook for them.

Our restaurant is a family owned and operated business. Our children now are all learning the ropes of the restaurant life. Our 21-year-old daughter, Taylor, is the kitchen manageer. Lucas, 18, runs the front of the house, and Mason, 16, makes breads. Nine-year-old Kallee loves to talk to customers and carry cakes out to the car, while Kru, 5, takes out the trash. Our family has loved serving the Hattiesburg community and hope that you will love becoming a part of our family at The Pastry Garden at Gordon Creek, 129 Walnut, Hattiesburg.
